What is the difference between Raymond mill and vertical mill?

Vertical mills and Raymond mills are similar to "standing work", and they are quite different from horizontal ball mills. Strictly speaking, Raymond mill is a kind of vertical mill, but they are also different, and the production time is not the same, the internal structure is not the same, the range of grinding fineness is different, and the applicable industrial fields are slightly different . Let's sort out their differences for you.

1. Different customers have different prices

There are certain differences in the use environment of Raymond mill and vertical mill. Raymond mills are mainly used for small and medium-sized enterprises, with various models and weights, and prices ranging from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands. The vertical mill is mainly suitable for large enterprises, with relatively large weight and size, and a small one costs hundreds of thousands of yuan.

2. The internal structure is different

Vertical mills and Raymond mills have different internal structures, so they work slightly differently.

vertical mill

During operation, the position of the grinding roller of the vertical mill is fixed after adjustment. The grinding roller itself rotates like a pinion, without direct contact with the grinding disc. The bottom grinding disc keeps rotating, and the material in the gap between the grinding roller and the grinding disc Carry out roller compaction and grinding. During inspection and maintenance, the grinding roller of the vertical mill can be released through the lever bracket.

Raymond mill

The internal structure of Raymond mill is very different from that of vertical mill. There are 5 or 6 evenly distributed grinding rollers installed on the spring plum frame of Raymond Mill. The grinding rollers make a circular motion around the central axis, and the material raised by the bottom blade is sent into the gap between the grinding rollers and the side wall grinding ring for grinding. The Raymond mill ring is fixed, which is the side wall of the mill.

3. The range of grinding fineness is different

Raymond mill has a long history, and the particle size range of grinding is slightly coarse, which can be adjusted between 50-325 mesh. The technical age of the vertical mill is relatively recent. After technical improvement, the range of particle grinding will be more detailed, about 150-3000 mesh.

4. The application industry is slightly different

The market utilization rate of these two kinds of mills is quite high, and the application industries are relatively similar, such as metallurgy, building materials, cement, chemical industry, refractory materials, pharmaceuticals, mine crushing and grinding, etc. Raymond mill has traditional technology and is the first generation mill with stable quality, small investment and large market share. 80% of enterprises have been using it for production. Vertical mills are more suitable for large-scale professional industrial fields, such as non-metallic ore ultra-fine grinding industry. The production stability is good, which further improves the production efficiency and reduces the maintenance cost. According to the customer's production practice requirements, it is recommended to use a vertical mill. With the same power load, the output is 10-20% higher than that of the Raymond machine.
